Required materials

Step 1. First, you need to find a pumpkin plant in Minecraft. As mentioned above, you can find one in the Extreme Hills or Plains biomes as long as there is a grass block with space above it for the pumpkin to grow.

Step 2. Next, choose the shears in the hotbar and then, hove over your pointer on the pumpkin. You should see the pumpkin become highlighted in your game window.

Step 3. Once the face has been carved into the pumpkin, 4 pumpkin seeds will be dropped. What you need to do now is pick up those seeds as well as the carved pumpkin you’ve just made.
