Smoker In Minecraft
What is a smoker in the Minecraft games? And what does it do? If you are still wondering about it, let’s explore the smoker in this article. We will talk more about Smoker in Minecraft right here!
(You may want to know how many game modes in Minecraft)
What is it?
The smoker is a block that cooks food items, similar to a furnace, but faster. It also serves as a butcher’s job site block.
The smoker is available in Minecraft Java Bedrock and PlayStation. The game added it in the snapshot 18 ww48 as a part of the village empennage update.
They are extremely heavy because they cannot be affected by either pistons or slime blocks.
What does the smoker in Minecraft do?
Basically, we use Smokers to cook food items twice as fast as a regular furnace.
When players place a food item and a fuel into the smoker, the block state changes to lit and the item cooks. Nevertheless, fuel is used at double the rate of regular furnaces while the number of items cooked per fuel stays the same. Then, we can also collect the product by pressing use on the smoker or by collecting the output using a hopper.
Also, smokers cannot cook chorus fruit, as popped chorus fruit is not edible.
One more thing, you can store things (food, of course) in them. Even though this feature can be a little bit negative when you’re in multiplayer mode (some players might take your food in smoker away), you still have a way to lock it by using a special key. You can only open it when you have a oven glove.
How to get a smoker in Minecraft
The smoker is a workstation of the butcher villagers and they naturally spawn in the butcher’s houses in villages all over your world. In case you cannot find them in any house, you can make it quite easy with the crafting instruction: Place any Log or any Stripped Log or any Wood or any Stripped Wood + Furnace in the pattern below.
Otherwise, you can obtained the smoker by mining with any pickaxe. However, if you mine them out without a pickaxe, it drops nothing.
